Part 1. Review the Goals of MATH 201

MATH 201 Course Description: In-depth exploration of concepts in mathematics for elementary teachers, including division, proportional relationships, number theory, and algebra with a focus on reasoning, sense-making, problem solving, and communicating mathematical ideas. Includes analysis of childrens mathematical thinking and connections to the elementary mathematics curriculum.

The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities for students to do mathematics while developing their understanding of critical mathematical concepts and procedures and continued development of mathematical habits of mind.  Students will achieve the following course objectives in relation to the strands of mathematical proficiency:
Part 2: Written Reflection
